How to increase the Internet Speed or Transfer rate

Well, Today most of the PC are connect to internet and even High speed internet connections like ADSL Broadband connections. but still some times we face extremely low speed even of that high speed internet connections, so many have question how to increase that speed to its full extend ?
here i gathered few top solutions to Increase the Internet speed or download speed , take a look at them and give your feedback.
1.Use download managers like IDM (Internet Download manager). Just don’t expect a miracle, though. It can increase your download speeds a bit.
2.Windows uses 20% of your bandwidth.

Here’s how to Get it back by a tweak for XP.
Microsoft reserve 20% of your available bandwidth for their own purposes (updates and interrogating your machine etc..)
But u can stop that guy Bill gates from doing this
Click Start–>Run–>type gpedit.msc .
This opens the group policy editor.
Now go to:Local Computer Policy–>Computer Configuration–>Administrative Templates–>Network–>QOS Packet Scheduler–>Limit Reservable BandwidthDouble click on it.
It will say it is not configured, but the truth is seen on LHS of page :”By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default.”So the trick is to ENABLE reservable bandwidth, then set it to ZERO.This will allow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 20%

3.In case your net speed is slow or u r running out of limited net usage (limited usage plans), then try the following :
● Disable Multimedia elements in yr webpage like images, sounds, animations etc.
To do so in IE, Go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab>scroll down to Multimedia and uncheck items from the give options.
● Turn off pop-upads(they too consume lot of bandwidth) by Tools>Popupblocker>turn on.
I personally do this wen i am running out of my 2.5GB usage limit

4. Try using Different DNS (Domain name servers) like OpenDNS.com provided
