Another issue for shared servers is the response time for the MySQL database. It can be slow which is a problem if you are running a CMS like Joomla.

If you are planning to build a small personal website or big communtiy website you need a hosting account. But these two sites wont fit with a single hosting type.

Generally if you search for a hosting provider you will find different plans starting from $1 per month to $100 per month or even more, single service with different prices. Then

Which Hosting service should i buy?

A big question for a person who is going to start a new website and the answer is also not so simple it involves lots of technical things in it to choose the best one.

But i dont want to confuse you with many technical things i will give a brief introduction to different factors which effect the price of the hosting.

There are different types of web hosting services available in market

Shared hosting: This is most common hosting used by number of websites. In this type you will get a share a single server hardware resources with others clients. In this type the software maintaince and upgradation is maintained by the hosting provider only. You don’t have the control over the server but you have full control over your website using some control panel softwares like cPanel or Plex. There are many more factors which decide the price of your shared hosting which is explained in detailes below.

Usefull for Small and Medium Sites and Email domains, Can be used as backup server for your data or main server

Virtual private server hosting: This is same like a shared hosting but acts like a Dedicated Host, you have control over the server also.

Usefull for Websites which needs complete control over server and its resources, To run web applications without adversely affecting other clients or not affected by other clients

Dedicated Hosting: This is just like taking a computer for lease, you don`t share any resources with any one. This is mainly useful for large web applications with heavy traffic. This hosting server needs some person with knowledge on OS and Remote day to day maintaince of servers. It takes some time to setup also contains setup fee.

Managed Web Hosting: This is just like a dedicated server but it also provides additional functionalities like reporting and monitoring, load balancing, security, setup, system administration and software updates. Which reduces your server maintainces charge.

Server Co-Location: This is nothing but building your own server and placing it in the data center of a provider. This requires most efficient persons to maintain your server.

Any Hosting service again have different prices depending upon the following factors

1. Hosting Space: This is the space provided for you to place your website. Normally this space ranges from 1GB or less to 1TB or more…

For a normal website 1GB is more than enough as we can store more thousands of pages in 1GB.

Sites containing more photos or videos want to go for more space. Now a days space is not so costly and it wont effect much on the final price.

2. Contract period: Many Hosting providers will give you a option to buy for 6 months to 5 years. If you buy for more period the cost decreases. But if you are choosing the new service provider dont go for too long contracts as it may be problem if the support is not so good.

3. OS Type: Mainly you have two OS options one is linux hosting and second one is windows hosting. As windows is not a free OS obviously a server with windows will cost little bit more than linux. For hosting .NET applications it is mandatory to go for windows hosting, Others can choose linux hosting, you dont need much technical knowledge on linux to run a website on linux as it is maintained by your service provider.

4. Monthly Bandwidth: This is major thing which many people ignore to consider and which will add unforseen costs to your budget. . Many Service providers restrict your monthly data transfer. Some providers will charge you extra as you crossed the limit and some will block your site. Be careful before choosing this to avoid add unforeseen costs to your budget.

Some hosting providers will give you 10GB of space but only 30GB of monthly bandwidth which will make your web space useless

5. Database Support: You need a database when you are going for a dynamic website with programming, if your are going with a static designer based website you just skip this.

Many service providers will provide MySQL database as it is free and stable. But they limit the number of allowed databases. So check with your developer with this issues.

If you want MSSQL or ORACLE database servers then you want spend some more dollars to get it.

6. Sub-Domains: subdomain is a domain that is part of a larger domain. Ex: mail.google.com

Some providers will restrict the number of subdomains you can create but this is not a major thing to consider as most provider will provide more than 10, which is more than enough.

Note: Remember sub-domain is differ from addon domain addon domain will give you a chance to host different websites in a single hosting service and share the available resources.

7. Softwares Installed: This is also a crucial thing to consider before choosing a hosting server because if you are going for a shared hosting you cant install softwares after you brought the hosting account so check once again whether all the required softwares are installed with you service provider. This may effect your cost.

So i think now you can choose a better hosting service provider by analysing the above factors please give comments on different hosting providers so that it is usefull for other in choosing the best hosting in no time.
How Google Adsense detects invalid clicks

I just came to know how Google Adsense detects invalid clicks. I hope this is the very good information to avoid your Adsense websites from invalid clicks.

IP Address:
If the Adsense click is originated from the same IP Address as the one used for accessing your Adsense account, your account is flagged.

Cookies:
Most home users do not use static IP Address for Internet connection. In most cases just disconnect and reconnect will give you a new IP Address. But don’t forget, Google has set cookies on your computer.

Other Google Services:
Thinking that you are safe just because you do not access your Adsense account? Think again. This time, consider these: Gmail, Google Earth, Google Calendar, Google Search, Google Toolbar, Google Talk, Google Sitemap, Google Desktop, Blogger, and so on, and so on. With the wide range of services they provide, Google can trace the originator of most (or probably almost all) clicks.

Click Pattern 1:
Oh, why this computer / IP address / person is so trigger-click-happy on this particular website but never click on the ads on other sites?

Click Pattern 2:
And why is it that people accessing these sites direct (type-in URL or from bookmark) tend to be very active ad-clickers compared with those referred from search engine or other sites?

Click Pattern 3:
And why the ad-clickers like to hit and run, compared with non ad-clickers that surf a few pages before leaving?

Click-Through-Rate (CTR):
Your CTR may range from 0.5% to 10%, but if it exceeds a certain point (probably around 10%), you are flagged.

Geo-Location:
Used Urchin (Google Analytics) before? Then you should know that Google can trace traffics origin down to the small town. Different IP doesn’t mean much. Unless you site is really targeted to one small geo-point, a high number of clicks from nearby location will get you banned quickly.

Hardware address:
MAC address of the LAN card, modem, and router works almost like a fingerprint. I’m not sure if Google can track this, but probably they do. They have rocket scientist, remember?

Advertisers conversion rate:
Ad click is one thing. But does it bring value to the advertisers? If none of the clicks on your site translate to conversion to the advertiser, you are in trouble. First the Smart-Pricing hits, then your Adsense account disabled.

Search Engine Ranking:
Your website is not indexed on any search engine, not linked by any prominent website, but get consistently high traffic? That sounds like something is in play. Regardless of whether it is an adware-embedded software, spam, trojan clickbot, or intentionally installed click-exchange network, it doesn’t sound right.

Webpage Design:
How about the “click here” or “support us”? Google has the best search engine in the world. Is it really that hard to find those words?

Combo:
Each of these detection methods might seem rather weak. But combine them together, and not many click-fraud can pass-through these filters. Even the smartest clickbot will have a hard time.

In short, it is almost impossible to cheat Adsense in the long term. Instead of spending time, money, and effort trying to outsmart Google.

Please feel free to Post your comments or any of your knowledge abouth this topic.

Happy Blogging.

Your posts on various forums can help you get exposure for your site. At the same time, it will also help bring traffic to your web site. Of all the people who land at your site, a small percentage may even convert into your clients if they like what you have to offer.

The following steps will help you to use forums to the optimum:

* Find forums related to your niche: You can use the search engines to easily find such forums. Use the keywords “forum” or “discussion boards” along with your niche. Say, you are a web design company. Then you need to search for “web design forums” or “web design discussion boards”.

* Register and set your site URL in the signature: At the user control panel, you will the place for signature. Here, you need to put your website address. Everytime you post comment or start a thread in the forum, this signature will appear at the end. Thus, it will help bring visitors to your web site.

* Read the Rules and Regulations: Be careful to read the FAQs and rules of each forum where you register. This way you won’t run the risk of getting your posts deleted by the Forum Administrators. Remember to post in the proper categories and don’t spam the forum.

* Encourage input from other members: Create such posts that encourage the forum members to provide their input/opinion and gets them engaged in an interaction. As your article views increase, others will get curious to view and read it. Thus, a buzz will be created around what you talk and write about. All these will eventually get your site some reasonable traffic.

* Welcome critical assessment: In the “review my site” section of forums, you can ask for honest criticism of your site features. Remember-be prepared for garlands as well as brickbats.

* Understand what people want: You can use forums to develop your services and products. The best way to do this is to take a survey of other forum members. Forum members are usually very helpful and will give you insight into what they’ll buy and what they won’t. You can also get ideas about some articles, blog posts and new products/services from such feedback.

* Help others: Try to answer a question asked by another forum member or solve a problem for them. A good way of doing this could be directing them to your site/blog where an article or post discusses the matter. This will not only drive traffic to your site but also make people curious to investigate your web site further.

* Help improve the work of others: On the Internet, there are many plugins and themes that are free. You can create a better and modified version of these themes and plugins.
